Fifty-Four Clemson Student-Athletes and Support Staff Earn Degrees

CLEMSON, S.C. – Fifty-four Clemson student-athletes and student-support staff earned their undergraduate degrees on Friday during graduation ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum. Eighteen of the 47 graduating student-athletes were competing in athletic events today as Men’s and Women’s Tennis played in their respective NCAA Tournaments this afternoon and Baseball plays at Notre Dame tonight.

The sports with the most graduating players included Rowing (7), Baseball (6) and Football (5). Of note among the group, 11 recipients of the Athletic Director’s Academic Excellence Award (given to graduating senior student-athletes that have been on the honor roll for seven consecutive semesters) earned their degrees today including Natalie Anthony (WTK), Matt Campbell (baseball), Christy Gasparino (WTK), Emily Howard (DIV), Yana Koroleva (WTN), Jaclyn Kovach (ROW), Dominique Maden (MTN), Kathleen Scibelli (ROW), Deana Sherry (WSO) and Kathryn Wiley (ROW). Howard and Sherry were recently inducted to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
