Clemson red-shirt freshman Joey O’Rourke, also unattached, totaled 5,909 points and was third.

Feathers’ top event on Wednesday was the discus throw, where he surpassed his season-best with a mark of 125’1″. Feathers ran the 1500m in 4:47.56, also a season-best for the Grand Island, NY native. He had a time of 15.25 in the 110m hurdles and threw the javelin 160’4″. Feathers did not record a height in the pole vault.
