GREENSBORO, N.C. – Putting in work on and off the court, Clemson women’s basketball student-athletes Danielle Edwards and Simone Westbrook have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced the league office on Friday.
Student-athletes must have earned a minimum 3.0 grade point average from the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 grade point average during their academic career in order to be eligible for the All-ACC Academic Team.
Edwards is a four-time member of the All-ACC Academic Team and is the first player in Clemson program history to make four straight appearances on the team.
Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team and the duo of Westbrook and Edwards have been key factors in Clemson’s success this season. The duo rank first and second in the ACC in steals and recently received nods to the ACC All-Defensive Team.
