East Carolina Visits Clemson For Women’s Hoops Home Opener

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team will play host to East Carolina Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.

Clemson is coming off a 80-62 loss to Illinois in the season opener for the Lady Tigers Saturday night. The Lady Tigers’ Erin Batth scored 20 points for the Lady Tigers as she was 9-14 from the floor and had seven rebounds. Chrissy Floyd was also in double figures for Clemson with 15 points.

Over the years, the Lady Tigers are 22-3 in first home games.

East Carolina had a 15-14 record last season. The Pirates return two starters and eight letterwinners from last year’s team.

Clemson leads the all-time series between the two schools 4-0. The series started in the 1978-79 season.

Last season, Clemson defeated East Carolina 61-44 in Greenville, NC on December 30, 1999. Erin Batth had 21 points as she was 10-13 from the field . She also had two blocked shots and three steals.
