DMR Breaks School Record

CLEMSON, S.C. — The women’s distance medley relay broke the school record Saturday at Notre Dame’s Alex Wilson Invitational, putting together a time of 11:07.83 to best the previous standard by more than 20 seconds.

The team of Natoya Goule, Nia Fluker, Brianna Blanton and Grace Barnett finished sixth in a field of 11 elite relays. Blanton has now been involved in each of the top four DMR teams in school history. With the Tigers’ performance, the Clemson women of 2015 now own both school marks in the indoor relays.

Also in Saturday action, Tanisha Coppin placed fourth in the women’s 800. The transfer from Florida Atlantic University posted a personal best, clocking a time of 2:07.74. Her time ranks fifth in the Clemson record books.

The Tigers return to action next week at the ACC Indoor Championships, held in Blacksburg, Va.
