CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s diving team completed the first day of competition at the Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh Invitationals competing in the one-meter event at each. The Tigers will return to action in the three-meter event at each meet on Saturday.
At the Pittsburgh Invitational, Emily Howard was the highest Clemson finisher of the day with a third-place overall finish with a score of 262.70 in the finals. Howard finished fifth earlier in the day in the prelims scoring a 248.15. The senior has finished in the top five of all eight of her dives this season
Juliana Melchionda finished 12th in the prelims with a score of 232.20 just missing the cut for the finals. Sarah Braun finished 14th in the prelims and recorded a score of 230.30. Megan Helwagen finished 21st with a score of 217.65 while Heather Britt finished 24th and Bailey Warren came in 28th in her final appearance as a Tiger.
At the Georgia Tech Invitational, Tabitha Banks led the Tigers with a seventh-place finish in the prelims with a 243.50. She went on finish ninth overall in the finals with a score of 241.60.
Chelsea Uranaka just missed an appearance in the finals finishing 12th with a score of 224.05. Jessica Resler followed Uranaka to finish 13th with a score of 215.00. Jessica Doolittle also finished in the top 15 while Emily Yoder finished 23rd.
