CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s diving team will face off against two Southeastern Conference opponents in Columbia on Friday as the Tigers take on South Carolina and Florida. The meet will begin at 2 p.m.
“We are looking forward to traveling to the University of South Carolina to continue our tradition of in-state rivalry,” Head Coach Leslie Hasselbach Adams said. “Both USC and the University of Florida have fairly young squads this year. We are bringing both youth and experience and I am excited to see it all unfold.”
In its first competitive meet in program history, the Tigers split with Georgia Tech and the College of Charleston. Chelsea Uranaka led the team with a score of 265.65 in the three-meter, a mark that is currently ranked eighth in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Juliana Melchionda is eighth in the conference in the one-meter with her score of 250.95, and Emily Howard currently ranks tenth in the ACC with a score of 235.60 in the event.
“The Tiger divers have had an excellent week of training and are continually improving,” Hasselbach said. “I know we will see improved competitive performances from all of our ladies.”
