Divers Wrap Up Day Two at Tennessee Diving Invite

KNOXVILLE, TN – The Clemson divers competed at the Tennessee Invite for the second consecutive day, with the men competing in the three-meter, while the women took part in the one-meter event. The competition is a championship-style meet featuring more than 100 divers from 17 schools around the country.

After competing in the one-meter on Saturday, David Giambra and Ryan McDaniel represented Clemson in the three-meter event. Giambra, Clemson’s school record-holder in the event notched a 28th-place finish, while McDaniel finished 39th overall.

On the women’s side, freshmen Ali Zacker placed 42nd in the one-meter event.

Monday, the final day of the competition, will see the student-athletes take part in the platform diving event. The Tigers will send both men and Self and George into the event, which starts at 11:00 am.

Following the Tennessee Invite, Leslie Hasselbach and the divers will rejoin the swimming squad for a meet with nationally-ranked North Carolina at 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 10 in McHugh Natatorium.
