Davis Issues Apology

Clemson Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jim Davis issued an apology to North Carolina Coach Sylvia Hatchell for his actions at the conclusion of the women’s basketball game between Clemson and North Carolina on Thursday evening. Davis did not shake hands with the North Carolina coach at the conclusion of the Tar Heels 77-55 victory in Littlejohn Coliseum.

“I regret my lack of sportsmanship at the conclusion of last night’s game vs. North Carolina,” said Davis. “On behalf of the Clemson women’s basketball program I offer my apology to Coach Hatchell and the University of North Carolina.”
