Dart Named CSCAA All-American

CLEMSON, SC – Former Clemson University swimmer Chris Dart was named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team. In addition, 11 Tigers were named Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans by the CSCAA.

Dart competed in both the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke at this year’s NCAA Championships in Seattle, WA. In order to be selected to the All-America Team, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.5 GPA and qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Honorable mention selections must register at least a 3.5 GPA and record at least a “B” time or score standard during the season. Nine members of the Clemson women’s team and a pair of former men’s swimmers earned honorable mention inclusion on the team.

Meg Anderson, Sarah Bechard, Tori Cervone, Brooke George, Emily Howard, Kristen Redmond, Cassie Self, and Maddie Tarantolo represented the Tiger women’s squad, which finished the spring semester with the highest team GPA in the country at 3.62. Seth Broster and Chris Reinke represented the Tiger men’s squad on the roster.
