This past week we had Military Appreciation Day prior to the North Carolina State game. Words cannot express our gratitude to the men and women who serve in our military. It is fitting that Clemson honors our military each and every year. Clemson has produced many that have served our country with honor and valor. For that, we are most grateful.
While there are countless individuals that make Military Appreciation Day an outstanding event, I would like to point out John Seketa of our staff. John is the “behind the scenes” guy that coordinates the activities. He does a superb job with recognizing our military. So, thank you, John, for your great work with Military Appreciation Day.
Congratulations to our women’s soccer team in advancing to the final 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Clemson first defeated a very good Vanderbilt team and then the 8th ranked team in the nation, Oklahoma State. (At this writing, the men’s team hasn’t played.)
We look forward to seeing you Saturday, November 25th against South Carolina. Let’s have the very best atmosphere in the nation this Saturday. Let’s remind ourselves –
“Solid Orange is about Pride. Our actions honor our teams, traditions, performance, people, and each other.”
On behalf of all of us in the Clemson Athletic Department, Happy Thanksgiving!
