Cross Country to Compete in Louisville

CLEMSON, S.C. — The cross country teams will be in Louisville on Friday to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals held at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park. The women’s 6K will begin at 12 p.m. followed by the men’s 10K at 1. Live results will be available at FlashResults.com.

The Tigers last competed at the ACC Championships on Oct. 31, where the men’s team finished ninth and earned its best conference finish since the 2008 season. The women’s team finished 13th. On Friday, the men will be competing against a field of 36 teams and the women 41. Both will be the largest fields the Tigers have run against this season. Both Tiger teams are ranked No. 13 in the Southeast Region by the coaches association heading into the meet.

The men’s team has continually been paced by graduate Aaron Ramirez, who recently posted his best time of the season at the ACC Championships in a 33rd-place effort. The women have been led in recent meets by transfer Natoya Goule, who has been the top finisher in the past two meets. Goule holds the Tigers’ top time in the 6K after her performance at the ACC Championships.
