Cross Country Teams to Participate in Notre Dame Inivitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Clemson men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the 1998 adidas/Notre Dame Invitational Friday. The women’s race, which begins at 5:15 EST, features four nationally-ranked teams. The Tigers will compete against ACC foe N.C. State, currently ranked 10th in the country. Baylor, ranked 22nd nationally, and 25th-ranked Bowling Green will also compete in the meet. Host Notre Dame is currently ranked 32nd nationally. A total of 23 schools will participate in the women’s meet.

The men’s race, beginning at 6 p.m. EST, features two teams ranked among the nation’s top 15 teams. ACC rival N.C. State enters the meet ranked fifth nationally, while Notre Dame is currently ranked 15th nationally. Nineteen schools will participate in the men’s meet.
