Cross Country Set For Race In South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Tigers will race in the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday with the meet kicking off at 2:00 p.m. The race is one of the nation’s premiere events this season as it features more than 10 nationally-ranked teams and will take place at Burke Golf Course.

Last week, Grace Barnett highlighted the program’s weekend in her return, leading the Tigers with a seventh place finish and a time of 17:17.5. The performance ultimately led to the senior harrier earning this week’s ACC Women’s Performer of the Week award. She paced Logan Morris, Jenna Gearing, Morgan Wittrock and Alexa Womack as Clemson finished eighth overall at the Panorama Farms Invitational.

On the men’s side, Micah Williams led Clemson for the third-straight week as the Tigers took 11^th place in the meet. He clocked in at 25:42.9 to take 52^nd place in the 8k race with Andrew Emery, Clayton Wilson, Justin Lippert and Ryan Mullen filling in as the Tigers’ top five competitors.
