Cross Country Heads to Pre-Nationals Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to compete at the 2018 Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet, which serves as a pre-cursor for the national championships. This year’s races will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday Oct. 13. The Tiger women kick off Saturday’s action at 11:45 a.m. (ET) with the women’s 6K white race (seeded), while the men’s 8K white race is slated for 1:15 p.m. (ET).

Both teams are coming off impressive performances from Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational Sept. 28. The women were paced by sophomore Logan Morris, who placed eighth overall after achieving her 5K personal best. On the men’s side, sophomore Colt Griffith led the Tigers for the third consecutive meet, placing 12th overall in his first ever five-mile race. Additionally, nine of the 14 women’s entries achieved personal bests as did six of the eight men’s competitors.

Saturday’s races are set to stream with a paid subscription to FloTrack.org. Live results can be found via the Clemson cross country schedule page. For more information, click here.
