Cottam Tied Eighth at Sun Bowl Marathon All-America

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson junior Kyle Cottam fired rounds of 71 and 67 to push himself into a three-way tie for eighth at the Sun Bowl Marathon All-America Golf Classic. The event is being held from Nov. 25-26 at the El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas.

Cottam, a Knoxville, Tennessee native, wentfour-under par on the day after adding four birdies and four bogeys throughout his first round before dropping five birdies and a solo bogey in his second round.

The junior will tee off for the final round tomorrow at 10:30am EST alongside William Moll of Vanderbilt and RJ Manke of Pepperdine.

As a whole, Ludvig Aberg representing Texas Tech sits atop the leaderboard with a 14-under par score. The next closest competitor is Zan Luka Stirn of Arkansas State at 10-under with Garett Reband of Oklahoma trailing at seven-under par.
