Collegiate Club Supports Tiger Pride

Jan. 26, 2001

In July 1998 the Collegiate Club began a $20,000 endowment initiative to raise money for the renovation of Littlejohn Coliseum. Appropriately, the effort was called the Sixth Man Endowment.

Students contributed a minimum of $20 to have their name appear on a plaque in Littlejohn Coliseum. Members also made donations in honor of or in memory of their friends and family. The Sixth Man Endowment ended in June 2000 and the response was tremendous!

Over 650 Collegiate Club members participated and raised more than $23,900 towards the Tiger Pride campaign. The Collegiate Club not only met, but exceeded its original goal!

IPTAY is proud to see such a large number of students support Clemson University and Clemson Athletics through this endowment. It truly shows the pride that Clemson students have for their university.

To all who contributed, thank you! Please look for your name on the Sixth Man Endowment plaque, which will be placed in Littlejohn in early March.

For those Collegiate Club Members who are still looking to get involved in Tiger Pride, the Collegiate Club has another endowment opportunity. The Twelfth Man Endowment began on July 1, 2000, and allows Collegiate members to donate a minimum of $40 to have their name placed on a plaque in Death Valley. More information on the Twelfth Man Endowment is available at this web site or by contacting Ellen Hepfer at 656-2975.
