Julie Fournier

Julie Fournier joined the Clemson Women’s Basketball program in the summer of 2022 as the program’s first-ever Director of Player Development. In her role, Fournier will assist in helping develop players’ individual brands, as well as working with women’s basketball student-athletes in the new NIL era. 

As a player, Fournier spent time at Sante Fe College (2017-2019) before finishing her career at Colorado Christian University (2019-2021). Fournier helped Santa Fe to a Mid-Florida Conference title in 2019, before transferring to Colorado Christian and finishing with a degree in psychology (emphasis in biblical studies).

While balancing collegiate academics and basketball, Fournier became a published author and the Founder & CEO of “Basketball is Psychology,” a company whose mission is to “strengthen the minds of those who love basketball.” The company started as a blog in December of 2018, then Fournier published her first book in August of 2020 titled The Art of Embracing Diversity: A Guide to Living a Meaningful Life in the Midst of Losses, Setbacks, and Uncertainty. 

Her second book, Daily Wisdom: 365 Days of Motivational Thoughts, Quotes, and Stories, was published in 2021.
