Clemson’s Trevor Booker and Virginia’s Sylven Landesberg Named Co-ACC Players of the Week

GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson’s Trevor Booker and Virginia’s Sylven Landesberg have been named Co-ACC Players of the Week while NC State’s Scott Wood earned ACC Rookie of the Week honors.

Booker averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals as the Tigers moved to 3-1 in league play with a pair of conference wins last week. The Whitmire, S.C., senior had 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in Wednesday’s 83-64 win over No. 12 North Carolina and 20 points and six rebounds in the Tigers’ 73-70 road win at NC State Saturday.

Landesberg averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds as the Cavaliers moved to 3-0 in league play with league victories this past week. The Flushing, N.Y., sophomore had 22 points, six rebounds and five assists in Wednesday’s 82-75 win over No. 18 Georgia Tech and 18 points, three assists and two rebounds in the Cavaliers’ 75-57 victory over Miami Saturday.

In earning the Rookie Award for the first time this season, Wood averaged 21.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in the Wolfpack’s two games this past week. The Marion, Ind., set career-highs with 31 points and seven rebounds in Tuesday’s 88-81 win at 25th-ranked Florida State. In Saturday’s 73-70 setback to No. 24 Clemson, Wood finished with 11 points and four rebounds.
