Clemson’s Kim Routh Competes At 2004 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials

LONG BEACH, CA – Tiger swimmer Kim Routh competed at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials held at the Long Beach Swim Stadium in Long Beach, CA on Thursday, July 8. The rising junior from Sandusky, OH swam in the preliminary round of the 400m free at the meet.

Routh posted a time of 4:20.12 in the preliminaries to place 32nd overall in the event at the trials. The eight fastest qualifiers from the trials advance to the finals, where the top two swimmers qualify for the U.S. Olympic team. Southern Cal’s Kaitlin Sandeno and Kalyn Keller were the top two finishers in the event finals. Routh recorded the fastest time among ACC swimmers in the event.
