Clemson’s Jamine Moton Named ACC Performer of the Week

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s track and field senior Jamine Moton was named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference women’s track and field performer of the week. This is the third consecutive week Moton has earned the top performer honors.

The senior from Glassboro, NJ, set a school record and automatic qualifying mark in the hammer throw, as well as automatically qualifying in the shot put at the Clemson Invitational.

Moton recorded a mark of 201.00 feet in the hammer, setting a school-record and the top mark in the ACC this season. In the shot put, Moton recorded a mark of 53’9.75″ automatically qualifying her for the 2002 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held in Baton Rouge, LA, May 29-June 1. She also provisionally qualified for the national championships in the discus throw with a mark of 164’9″.
