Clemson’s Harper And Cheney Post Provisional Qualifying Times At Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet

BLACKSBURG, VA – Six Clemson men’s track and field athletes competed at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet held this weekend at the Rector Fieldhouse. Roy Cheney posted NCAA provisional qualifying times to lead the Tiger sprinters. Harper recorded a time of 21.20 in the 200m, while Cheney’s time of 7.92 qualified him in the 60m hurdles.

Airese Currie and Harper were sixth and eighth, respectively. Currie posted a time of 6.84, while Harper ran a 6.87 in the finals. Harper was the top collegiate runner in the 200m dash with his provisional qualifying and season-best time of 21.20. Griffin placed seventh in 22.23, and Currie was 11th with a time of 22.34. In the 400m dash, Spain recorded a time of 49.06, and Bolling finished in 49.10. Cheney finished second in the 60m hurdles with his provisional and season-best time of 7.92.
