Clemson’s Ato Modibo Named ACC Performer of the Week

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Ato Modibo was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week for his efforts at the Iowa State Classic last weekend.

Modibo recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 46.40 as he won the 400m dash. His time is the top ACC performance this season and ranks fourth in the nation. Modibo was also a member of Clemson’s 4x400m relay team that posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:08.46, also the fastest time in the ACC this season. The 4x400m time is the eighth fastest in the nation this year.

The Clemson men’s track and field team will compete at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Blacksburg, VA, Feb. 16 and 17.
