Clemson Women’s Track Competes at Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – The Clemson women’s track and field competed at the Tyson Invitational at the University of Arkansas last Friday. Three Tigers posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks and one athlete met the automatic qualifying standard.

Cydonie Mothersill and Shekera Weston both provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 200m dash. Mothersill finished second in the event with a time of 23.18 while Weston was 13th with a time of 24.22. In the field events, Mandy McLane provisionally qualified in the pole vault with a mark of 12’6 3/4″ as she finished eighth in the event. Jamine Moton met the automatic qualifying mark in the weight throw (66’7 1/4″) and provisionally qualified in the shot put (52’8″).

The Tigers travel to Blacksburg, VA, for the ACC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17. Clemson finished eighth in last year’s ACC Championship meet.
