Clemson Women’s Track And Field To Compete At Georgia Tech Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s track and field team will compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational this Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, at the George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta. The meet will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with the javelin throw and conclude for the day after the women’s 3000m race at 9:50 p.m. On Saturday, the meet resumes at 2:30 p.m. with the women’s hammer throw and concludes following the women’s 4x400m relay scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Clemson women’s track and field has three athletes who have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Senior Gisele Oliveira (Porte Alegre, Brazil). Junior Marcia Smith, a native of Decatur, GA, as well as freshman Jackie Hudgins (Hightstown, NJ) look to qualify for this year’s Championships with a solid performance in Atlanta.
