Clemson Women’s Track and Field Team to Compete at NCAA Championships

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s track and field team will compete at the NCAA Championships Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, AR. Jamine Moton and Sheri Smith will represent the Lady Tigers this weekend.

Moton leads the nation in the shot put with her mark of 56’7.5″/17.26m recorded at the Tyson Invitational. She also ranks third in the nation in the weight throw with a mark of 70’11.25″/21.62 set at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet. Moton is Clemson’s all-time leader in both events.

In the triple jump, Smith is 12th with a mark of 42’2.75″/12.87 set at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet. That result also ranks her fourth on Clemson’s all-time best list.
