CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s track and field team completed its regular season competition on Saturday at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The Lady Tigers were originally scheduled to compete at the Texas A&M All-Comers Meet on Thursday, but inclement weather forced the cancellation of that meet. In Atlanta, Clemson’s 4x400m relay team of Silja Ulfarsdottir, Silja Ulfarsdottir, who ranks third on the Lady Tigers’ all-time list in the 400m hurdles, improved on her personal-best time in the event with a time of 58.10. Christina Smith moved into fourth on Clemson’s all-time list in the 400m hurdles with a season and personal-best time of 58.43. Ulfarsdottir and Smith were the top two collegiate finishers in the 400m hurdles.
In the 200m dash, Silja Ulfarsdottir, Christina Smith, Randi Hinton and Jessica Cousins crossed the finish line in 46.12. Della Clark threw 172’10” in the hammer, and Krystal Woods recorded a mark of 154’2″ in the event. Clark also competed in the shot put, finishing with a best mark of 42’1.25″.
