CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s track and field team completed competition at the Tiger Invitational held Saturday at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex. Five Lady Tigers earned top-three finishes in five events with three season-best efforts to lead the home team.
In the running events, Danielle Whaley paced the Lady Tigers in the 60m with a time of 7.70, and also in the 200m with a sixth-place finish and time of 25.24. Tia Perry crossed the finish line in 57.58 to finish fifth in the 400m. Patrice McMillan recorded a time of 2:17.97 en route to a third-place finish in the 800m. Polly Hardy posted a time of 8.65 to place fourth in the 60m hurdles.
Beth Jordan cleared 11’11.75″ in the pole vault to finish third. Allison Bradshaw placed third in the shot put with a mark of 44’1.25″. Krystal Woods finished third in the weight throw with a season-best mark of 55’5″, and Mikaela Patterson had another season-best mark of 55’3.75″ to place fourth.
The Lady Tiger track and field team will resume competition next Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 17-19, at the ACC Championships to be held in Chapel Hill, NC.
