BLACKSBURG, VA – The Clemson women’s track and field team qualified three Lady Tigers at the Virginia Tech Challenge held Saturday in Blacksburg, VA. Terri Robinson and Joana Costa provisionally qualified in the long jump and pole vault, respectively, while Jamine Moton met the qualifying standards in the shot put and weight throw.
Robinson led the Lady Tigers in the 60m dash, finishing as the runner-up in the 60m with a time of 7.55. Keshia Haughton placed second among collegiate competitors in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.82, moving into fourth on Clemson’s all-time best list. In the 200m, Danielle Whaley placed 10th with a time of 25.33, and Evan Ross was fourth in 22:43.50. The Lady Tigers’ distance medley relay team finished second with a time of 13:27.03.
In the field events, Robinson’s mark of 20’5″ provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championships in the long jump, while Kenya Reed and Kenya Reed finished 12th (36’9.5″).
