Clemson Women’s Track And Field Competes At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, NC – The Clemson women’s track and field team competed at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday at N.C. State’s Paul Derr Track Complex.

In the running events, Silja Ulfarsdottir posted a fifth-place finish in 24.34. Ulfarsdottir also finished fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.78.

In the field events, Jamine Moton won the shot put, posting an automatic qualifying mark of 16.75m/54’11 1/2″, and Jackie Hudgins finished in seventh-place with a mark of 14.36m/47’1 1/2″. Moton led the Tigers in the discuss throw, placing second with a provisional qualifying mark of 51.87m/170’2″. Joana Costa posted a third-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.65m/11’113/4″. Sheri Smith finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 12.26m/40’23/4″.

Clemson will play host to the Clemson Invitational next Saturday, Apr. 6.
