Clemson Women’s Track And Field Competes At Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA– The Clemson women’s track and field team competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend at the George C. Griffin Track. The Lady Tigers’ Gisele Oliveira posted a season-best and provisional qualifying mark of 13.11m/43’0.25″ in the triple jump to finish second among collegiate competitors.

In the 400m dash, Marcia Smith recorded a time of 54.98, while Sheri Smith posted a mark of 12.40m/40’8.25″ in the triple jump. Jackie Hudgins finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 14.36m/47’1.5″.

Gisele Oliveira and Sheri Smith will compete for the Lady Tigers at the 2002 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 29-June 1 in Baton Rouge, LA.
