Clemson Women’s Basketball To Play Host To High Point

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will play host to the High Point Panthers on Dec. 17, 2002, at 7:00 PM at the Civic Center of Anderson in Anderson, SC.

High Point holds a 1-0 advantage in the series, defeating Clemson 105-78 in 1975-76 in the only meeting between the teams.

Clemson enters the game with an overall record of 4-2. Most recently, the Lady Tigers defeated Furman, 91-58. In its win over Furman, Clemson tied the school record for three pointers made, draining 11 (of 16) for a 69% three-point shooting percentage. Freshman Julie Talley paced the Lady Tigers from behind the arch, hitting 4-4.

ACC Player-of-the-Week Chrissy Floyd leads the Lady Tigers in scoring, averaging 18.7 points per game. Freshman Khaili Sanders is the top rebounder on the team with a 7.7 rebounds-per-game average.

High Point enters the game with an overall record of 6-3. The team is led in scoring by Misty Brockman, who is averaging 9.1 points per game. The Panthers are led in rebounding by Keauna Vinson, who is averaging 4.0 rebounds per game.
