Clemson, S.C. – After a week off for the holidays, the Clemson women’s basketball will return to action Thursday when the Lady Tigers host Wofford at 4:30 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.
Clemson (8-2, 1-0 ACC) vaulted into the AP top-20 poll this week debuting at the No. 20 spot. It is the first time the program has been ranked since the end of the 1998-99 season. That season the Lady Tigers finished the year tied at No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 13 in the USA Today poll.
In Clemson’s last outing, the Lady Tigers upset then No. 12 Auburn, 72-61. Head coach Jim Davis’ team also has another top-10 win this season. The Lady Tigers stopped Duke’s nine-game winning streak to open the season. At the time of the win, Duke was the No. 3 team in the nation.
