CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team will look to extend its five game winning streak when the Lady Tigers host Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. on Monday night at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Jim Davis’ Lady Tigers enter the contest with a record of 6-2. Virginia Tech also enters the game with a 6-2 mark.
Since starting the season 1-2, Clemson has reeled off five straight wins by an average of 15 points, including a 93-75 win over then No. 3 ranked Duke.
Erin Batth and Chrissy Floyd are Clemson’s scoring leaders. The tandem account for nearly 32 points per game as Batth averages 16.1 ppg and Floyd averages 15.7 ppg.
The Hokies are led by forward Tere Williams. Williams averages 14.1 ppg for head coach Bonnie Henrickson’s club.
Clemson holds the series lead between the two schools, 2-0. It has been over a decade since the two teams met. The last time the schools faced each other in women’s basketball, Clemson narrowly escaped with a 77-76 win on November 27, 1985.
