CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Lady Tigers will play host to St. Augustine’s College on Friday, Nov. 4 in Littlejohn Coliseum, giving fans their first chance to see the new-look team. The game tips off at 7:00 pm, as Itoro Coleman opens her second season at the helm of the Lady Tigers.
Live stats will be available at Clemsontigers.com for the effort, which is free to the public.
The team has a young core this season, with just two seniors, two sophomores, and five freshmen on the roster. Coleman hopes to exert her up-tempo style on the Falcons, and be able to get out in transition, and defend aggressively.
Shaniqua Pauldo is the team’s leading returning scorer at 8.7 points per game, while Lindsey Mason has 91 career blocks and averaged 6.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game last season.
Clemson’s five-member freshman class was regarded as the 30th-best in the nation according to ESPN Hoopgurlz, and features four players of three-star status or above. Natiece Ford was the highest-rated of the group as the No. 47 player overall in the nation.
The event leads up to a big week for the Lady Tigers, as Nov. 9 is the beginning of the early signing period, and they open up the regular season on Nov. 11 against Davidson in Littlejohn at 5:30 pm.
