Clemson Women’s Basketball Team To Play Host To North Carolina Thursday

The Clemson women’s basketball team will play host to eighth-ranked North Carolina Thursday, Jan. 16, at 7:00 PM in Littlejohn Coliseum.

North Carolina holds a 35-26 lead in the series. The Tar Heels won both contests last season. Clemson’s last win against North Carolina (75-57) came at the 2001 ACC Tournament.

Clemson enters the game with an overall record of 10-4 and a conference mark of 2-1. Most recently, the Lady Tigers defeated Maryland on the road, 70-59.

Senior guard Chrissy Floyd leads the Lady Tigers in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game. Freshman center Amanda White leads the team in rebounding with a 7.8 rebounds-per-game average.

North Carolina enters the game with a 14-1 overall record, and a 4-0 mark in the conference. The team is led in scoring by Coretta Brown, who is averaging 13.5 points per game. La’Tangela Atkinson leads the Tar Heels in rebounding, pulling down 7.9 rebounds per game.
