Clemson Wins a Singles and Doubles Flight at Virginia Tech Men’s Tennis Challenge

BLACKSBURG, VA-Clemson’s Zach Rigsby won the H Singles Flight and the Tigers’ doubles team of Rok Bizjak and Moritz Dettinger won the B Doubles Flight at the Virginia Tech Men’s Tennis Challenge at Blacksburg, VA Sunday afternoon.

Rigsby, a freshman, defeated Jon Pine of Virginia Tech 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10) today to stay undefeated in the tournament with a 3-0 mark. He defeated Hrehan Hakeem of Mississippi State 7-5, 6-4, on Friday, and Nicholas Spinazze of Arkansas 7-5, 6-2 on Saturday.

Bizjak and Dettinger won the B Doubles Flight and finished the tournament with a 2-1 record.

This was the last fall tournament for the Tigers. Clemson will start the 2010 season with a tennis doubles header with Gardner-Webb and Davidson on Saturday, January 16.
