CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s tennis team will play host to South Carolina on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Clemson has a 5-6 record overall this season and a 2-0 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference action. The Tigers have won two matches in a row with victories over Georgia Tech and Miami.
South Carolina has a record of 10-5 overall this season. The Gamecocks are ranked 33rd nationally according to the latest ITA poll.
Yannick Maden leads the Tigers in singles victories with a 19-5 record. He is also 8-2 this season in dual matches at number-one singles.
This will be the 103rd meeting between Clemson and South Carolina on the tennis courts. South Carolina leads the overall series 60-40-2. The series started on April 13, 1925. Clemson has played South Carolina in men’s tennis more than any other opponent.
As an extra feature to the match, free pizza and t-shirts will be distributed to fans in attendance during intermission between the doubles and singles matches.
