Clemson, SC — The South Carolina at Clemson baseball game that was rained out on April 21 will not be rescheduled, both schools announced on Tuesday. Due to conflicting conference schedules and travel plans, the two teams could not find a compatible date to replay the game.
Clemson is still attempting to schedule two additional games due to this rainout with South Carolina, and the N.C. State contest of April 19 that was also lost due to inclement weather.
Clemson has played 48 regular season games thus far (40-8) and has two three-game series remaining, at Georgia Tech on May 3-5 and at North Carolina on May 9-10. Clemson will play at North Carolina in a doubleheader on May 9. The schedule originally called for the Tigers and Tar Heels to meet in Chapel Hill on Friday, May 8, but that game has been moved to Saturday to accommodate North Carolina’s exam schedule.
Division I teams are allowed to play 56 regular season games. Conference tournament games do not count toward this maximum.
