  • Clemson’s win was the program’s 31st consecutive win to open a season, and 43rd over the last 44 years in an opener.

  • The Tiger defense held the Eagles to just 40 points Friday, the lowest total by a Clemson opponent since Furman scored 35 on Dec. 14, 2013.

  • Clemson improved to 32-2 all-time under Brad Brownell when holding the opponent to 50 points or less.

INDIVIDUAL

  • Jaron Blossomgame opened his junior season with a game-high 18 points, 16 of which came in the opening half.

  • Blossomgame tied a career high with two blocks.

  • Landry Nnoko tied a career high with six blocks Friday, upping his career total to 147. Nnoko is ninth in Clemson history on the career blocks list.

  • Sidy Djitte scored a career-high nine points Friday. He connected on all three of his field goals and free throws.

  • Donte Grantham made three three-point goals Friday, the fourth time in his career he has had least three. The Tigers are 4-0 in those games.

  • Avry Holmes scored 11 in his Clemson debut and made a three-pointer, giving him 99 for his career and one shy of the century mark.
