Individual Notes- Quinyotta Pettaway had 3 steals in the first half, which tied her career high. Pettaway also had three steals against Davidson on 11/11/11.- Nikki Dixon’s steal and layup at the end of the first half gave her 11 points in the half, which marked her 11th game scoring in double figures this season. After starting the season with 10 consecutive double-figure games, Dixon went five straight games without scoring in double-figures before today. She also tied her career-high in steals with five.- Dixon joined Chelsea Lindsay with 500+ minutes played so far this season. She finished the game with 34 minutes played. Chelsea Lindsay finished the game with 38 minutes played and is now averaging over 34 minutes per game. – Kelly Gramlich’s three with 8:00 left in the game gave her 10 points which marked her third straight double-figure game. Gramlich finished the game with 18 points and was 4-9 from three, giving her four games with three or more 3-point makes.- Lindsey Mason recorded three blocks on the night, giving her 129 on her career. That ties her with hall-of-famer Jackie Farmer for second on Clemson’s all-time blocked shots list. Mason was tied with hall-of-famer Barbara Kennedy in the first half, but her block in the second half moved her into a tie for second.- With 14 minutes left in the second half, Chancie Dunn made her first appearance in three games. Dunn suffered a hip injury against Virginia Tech on 1/2/12.- Kelly Gramlich played all 40 minutes for the second time this season.- Natiece Ford drew her third charge of the season, which puts her second on the team behind Nikki Dixon, who has eight.- Ford also tied her career high in blocked shots with two. Team Notes- NC State finished the game with 62 points, which was the first time in six games the Tigers had allowed over 60 points by an opponent.- The Wolfpack shot 36.2% from the floor, which was the fourth straight game the Tigers’ opponent has failed to reach 37% shooting. It was also the sixth-straight game Clemson’s opponent shot 40% or lower.- Clemson had 23 points off turnovers, the third-highest mark of the season.- 40 of Clemson’s 46 points came from the freshmen. Kelly Gramlich led all Tiger scorers with 18, while Nikki Dixon added 17. – The Tigers forced 22 Wolfpack turnovers, which is tied for third-most this season.
