CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Volleyball team will travel to Raleigh, NC to take on NC State on Saturday at 5:00 pm in Reynolds Coliseum. The Tigers (10-5, 1-3 ACC) are coming off a 3-1 loss in Chapel Hill on Wednesday night. NC State (13-1, 3-0 ACC) has been one of the surprises in the young ACC season, and the match with the Tigers will end their 13-match homestand. The Wolfpack play Georgia Tech on Friday night at 7:00 pm at home before taking on the Tigers, who have a 38-18 record in the series. Clemson had a 27-match win streak in the series snapped last season, a five-set win for the Wolfpack. In fact, both matches between the two went to five sets last season, with each team winning on their home court. NC State’s three conference wins this season have come against Wake Forest, Duke, and North Carolina, all at home. Clemson has defeated Boston College, but fallen to Georgia Tech, Maryland, and North Carolina so far. Mo Simmons and Sandra Adeleye have led the Tigers offensively, combining for 7.19 kills per set. Each ranks among the top ten players in the ACC in that category. Adeleye is coming off a 16-kill performance at North Carolina. After the match with NC State, the Tigers will play two in a row at home, taking on Virginia and Virginia Tech on Oct. 5th and 6th, respectively. Clemson’s match against Virginia will be broadcast on RSN.
