Clemson Volleyball To Travel To Atlanta For Match Against Georgia Tech

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson volleyball team will look to extend its 11-match winning streak on Tuesday night as the Tigers will take on Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Clemson will bring a 15-2 overall record and an unblemished 8-0 mark into the match, while the Yellow Jackets are 11-7 overall and 5-3 in conference play.

Juniors Jeannette Abbott and Danielle Hepburn have combined for 435 kills and senior Meghan Steiner is hitting a .408 figure to lead the team. Setter Kelsey Murphy is guiding the Tiger offense to 16.33 kills per game with a .268 hitting percentage while tallying 715 assists for the year.

On the defensive front, Hepburn owns a team-best 84 total blocks and Didem Ege has recorded 339 digs this season.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets Georgia Tech enters Tuesday’s match-up with an 11-7 overall record and a 5-3 ledger against ACC opponents. The Yellow Jackets took #13 Duke to five games last Friday night and then defeated Wake Forest, 3-1, the following evening.

Talisa Kellogg leads the Georgia Tech offense with 250 kills while four other Yellow Jackets have totaled over 100 kills for the year. Defensively, Nikki Kaminskas has posted 70 total blocks on the year, and Michelle Kandell leads the squad with 334 digs. As as team, Georgia Tech is averaging 15.30 kills and 15.51 digs per game.
