Clemson Volleyball To Take On NC State

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson (4-8, 0-5) will travel to Raleigh, NC, on Sunday for a 2:00 p.m. match against the NC State Wolfpack. NC State is currently 5-7 on the season and 1-4 in the ACC. In league play, the Wolfpack defeated Maryland, but lost to Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia and Georgia Tech.

The Tigers hold an 18-17 advantage all-time against NC State, but are 8-9 against the Wolfpack in Raleigh. Clemson has won 14 of its 16 meetings with NC State under Jolene Jordan Hoover, and are on a 6-0 win-streak against the Wolfpack dating back to the 1998 season.

Senior Jodi Steffes currently leads the Clemson hitting corps with 185 kills and a 4.02 kills per game average. She has also served a team-best 17 aces and tallied 129 digs (2.80 dpg). Junior Jessi Betcher leads the Tigers in assists with 552 and is averaging 12.00 assists per game. She is also second on the team in digs with 126 (2.74 dpg). Junior Anne Berki is the second on the team in blocks with 32 (six solo), while freshman Lori Ashton leads the Tigers in blocks with 33 total blocks (five solo). She is second in kills with 131 and in kills per game (2.85). Senior Meredith Kirtland ranks third on the team in service aces with nine, while red shirt freshman Ryane Beasley ranks third on the team with 104 kills and a 2.74 kills per game average. She is also fourth on the team in digs with 97 (2.55 dpg) and ranks fifth in blocks with 19 (four solo).

NC State is led by Charese Williams who has a team-best 180 kills and a 4.29 kills per game average, and also leads the team in digs with 109 (2.60 dpg). Lindi Sheppard has handed out 399 assists this season (9.73 apg), and has served a team-high 25 aces. Alison Kreager leads the Wolfpack in blocks with 32 (5 solo).
