CLEMSON, SC – The Tiger volleyball team will participate in the 2002 Clemson Crop Walk on Sunday, Nov. 17. The six-mile walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church. The Tigers’ will join over 2000 communities across the country raising money to stop hunger not only here in our community, but also around the world.
The first Crop Walk took place in Bismarck, NJ, in 1969 with 1000 walkers raising $25,000 dollars to go towards stopping hunger. CROP WALKS share more than $4,000,000 annually to support local hunger fighting efforts across the U.S. The money also helps in the development of over 80 countries, through self-help development initiatives.
