Clemson Volleyball Signs Two State Champions

Nov. 9, 2006

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson volleyball head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover has announced that Meghan Hinemeyer and Lisa Jedlicka have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Tigers for the 2007 season. Hinemeyer and Jedlicka were members of high school teams that recently captured their respective state titles.

“We are thrilled to have Meghan and Lisa join the program next year,” Hoover said. “Both have been a part of great programs with their high school and club teams. This class, on the heels of last year’s class, makes for an exciting future for Clemson volleyball.”

Jedlicka is a 6’1″ middle blocker from Greenville, SC. She led Hillcrest High School to the 2006 South Carolina AAAA State Championship and was named to the 2006 all-state team. She is also a member of the Club South volleyball program, one of the top clubs in the southeast.

Hinemeyer is a 5’11” outside hitter from Overland, KS and plays for the Mid-America Volleyball club. She is a three-year letterwinner at St. Thomas Aquinas high school, who won the 2006 Kansas 5A title. Hinemeyer was named to the all-state tournament team and was selected to the Moran all-star team for 2006. This past fall, she set school records for hitting percentage and digs in a season and ranks in the top five in St. Thomas Aquinas history for five different statistical categories.
