Clemson Volleyball Players Lead ACC

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team, ranked 18th nationally, has several players ranked among the statistical leaders in the ACC. Through Monday’s matches, senior middle hitter Cindy Stern led the league with a .576 hitting percentage, and freshman setter Jessi Betcher led the conference with 15.33 assists per game.

As a team, the Tigers led the league with a .361 hitting percentage and ranked second in assists per game (15.33), digs per game (16.75) and service aces per game (2.08). Clemson was third in the ACC with 2.75 blocks per game and 16.50 kills per game.

Stern ranked second among the ACC players with 4.75 kills per game and was eighth with 1.17 blocks per game. Senior Alison Coday was fourth with 4.17 kills per game and seventh with a .349 hitting percentage. Betcher ranked fifth with 0.56 service aces per game and seventh with 3.00 digs per game. Senior Emily Gorla placed sixth with 3.10 digs per game, while freshman Mallory Benson was eighth with a .342 hitting percentage.

Clemson (5-0) will play host to the Big Orange Bash in Jervey Gym this weekend. The Tigers will face Kentucky on Friday at 7 p.m. and will take on #30 Notre Dame Sunday at 2 p.m. Kentucky and Notre Dame will play Saturday at 2 p.m.
