Clemson Volleyball Falls To Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Clemson volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-14) match to the Florida State Seminoles Friday night at Tully Gym. The Tigers’ record stands at 6-14, 2-10 in the ACC, while Florida State improves to 11-9, 7-4 in the league.

Ryane Beasley led the Tigers with 11 kills, while Jodi Steffes added nine kills. Jessi Betcher served three service aces and tallied 20 assists, while Leslie Finn had eight kills and six digs. Marija Zoric posted two solo blocks to lead the Tigers.

Florida State was led by Erica Bunch, who led all hitters with 16 kills. Norisha Campbell added 13 kills with five blocks, and Alex Sevillano had 12 kills with 13 digs. Jennifer Anderson handed out 42 assists, and Kristin Frye had four service aces.

Clemson returns home to host three matches next week. The Tigers open next week’s schedule with a non-conference match against Georgia State on Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. Clemson resumes its conference slate Friday, Nov. 2, with a 7:00 p.m. match against NC State. The Tigers will conclude their ACC regular season home matches on Sunday with a 2:00 p.m. first serve against North Carolina.
