Clemson Volleyball Downs Furman in Three

GREENVILLE, SC – The Clemson volleyball team improved their overall record to 10-13 overall with a 3-0 (15-11, 15-8, 15-12) win over the Furman Paladins Tuesday night at Timmons Arena. Furman fell to 8-13 overall with the loss. Clemson is 28-0 all-time against the Paladins.

Jodi Steffes led the Tigers with 19 kills, six digs and a .436 hitting percentage while Kiki Dallao added 10 kills with 18 digs and two block assists. Jessi Betcher tallied 41 assists with nine digs and Marija Zoric led the team in blocks with three block assists. Clemson outhit the Paladins .299 to .221.

Furman’s Abby Simon and Shawn Beckham recorded 14 kills each with Simon tallied 12 digs. Laura Hooks dished out a match-high 43 assists with 13 digs while Carrie Rowley had 11 kills with 11 digs.

Clemson hosts ACC rival Georgia Tech this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Jervey Gym. Admission is free to all Clemson home matches.
