June 24, 2010

CLEVELAND, OH – The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has selected its 2009-10 award winners and Clemson University has won gold in two categories; Best Promotional T-shirt Design and Best Video Board Segment.

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. More than 650 entries were received for the 2009-10 year.

The winners were presented their awards during NACMA’s 19th Annual Convention, June 22-25 in Anaheim, CA. The awards ceremony occurred Wednesday, June 23.

Clemson’s Sports Marketing Department received the gold medal for the Military Appreciation Day t-shirt in the category of Best Promotional T-shirt Design. The t-shirt was a result of the efforts of Assistant Athletic Director John Seketa, who organizes all Military Appreciation Day activities, and TigerTown Graphics.

Clemson’s Athletic Video Department also took home a gold medal in the category of Best Video Board Segment for the Hill/Howard’s Rock video that is played prior to the football team running down the Hill in Memorial Stadium at each football game. The video was designed and produced by Assistant Video Director, Chad Lampman.

“We are extremely proud of this great national recognition,” said Director of Marketing Mike Money. “This is a testament to the creative and hardworking staff who work behind the scenes to make the Clemson Game-Day experience so special.”
